THAT HOT PINK WALL

Hi bloggersphere, I have nothing to do so I opted to post something :)  Yesterday, I photographed one of Davao's young designer, and a friend, Maizy Colleen. The location was at Fashion Institute of Design Arts (FIDA) where she graduated fashion design course. That was my first time there, and I was amazed on how lovely and creative the walls are...

And if I see a wall like this, I don't think I can just stare and worship it forever.. of course, this wall would send a message to my brain saying "hey, it's #ootd time!!"... so while Maizy was prepping and all, I grabbed the chance to abuse the wall first.. lol, sorry maizy.. haha.. brace yourself, for my ootd posts are coming. lol.

Omg, did you just throw up? i'm sorry, that was a lot of feeling blogger, ootd poses.. I just love that hot pink wall... is it hot pink? magenta? anyway whatever color it is, it spells cute to me.

and before I end this post, lemme just show you some outputs from my shoot with Maizy, and a little bit of FIDA.

Maizy is so cute..isn't she?

So that's it! A day full of colors! and by the way, FIDA's new batch of graduates will be having their graduation fashion show this coming April 25, 2015 but I still don't know the location yet... so if you're interested to witness the newly grad fashion designers of Davao, gracing the ramp with their creations, then you are more than welcome (lol, as if I own FIDA).. see you on April 25!

MY OWN KIND OF VALENTINES DAY

It's that day again where couples are wearing red, carrying roses and teddy bears and unfortunately even balloons, yes, like a birthday. Anyway, what's there to celebrate for when you're single? There is no way you can celebrate it, right? unless you go shopping!!!! :) well, at least for me.
So yeah, woke up at 11am, watched Grammy's encore, had sandwich and a chocolate drink, took a bath, and went shopping :) and I'm the happiest!

I was at every girl's shopping destination--Forever21 (because I guess that's the biggest fashion store here in Davao). I was so happy that they have this coupon where you can avail a P250.00 off for a minimum P2,500 purchase, and another 10% off for a minimum single-receipt spend of P3,000.  Yay! happy valentines day to me!

If you want to avail that promo, it will be up until Feb 26,2015 ;)  So! that pretty sums up my valentines day, and honestly, i don't like seeing girls carrying roses around the mall and the streets, but hey, they are happy so i guess i just let them be :)

PASSION OVER PROFESSION

Working with passionate people makes you more passionate... Last few months or so, my portfolio has been filled up with fashion shoots, thanks to the amazing up and coming young fashion designer Maizy Colleen Tan, and the beautiful makeup artist, Betsy Arcena, who keeps me busy during my lazy moments. We have this group chat in messenger, and i just enjoy chatting with them. I love our talks regarding conceptS, (yes, capital S, because our concepts just doesn't end), exchanging of images, and also the never ending throwing of ideas. You know, what it does to me is that it keeps my fire in photography alive..there are just days when i feel like quitting coz i feel like i don't have the same hunger like before, but at the end of the day, i just thank God for people like them who shows me that I'm still on the right track, and that whatever I'm feeling right now is just a challenge to see how far i can really go on the path I have chosen.
Maizy is a registered nurse turned fashion designer, and now she's making a name in the business. Betsy had a beautiful job where she can travel and all, but she gave that up to pursue her love for makeup artistry, and I can relate to them both since I'm also an RN turned fashion and portrait photographer. It's like God's putting a mirror in front of me saying "you're not the only one".... Oh well, life's funny ways to help you out.
We know we are not the best in town, but sometimes, you just don't need the best, just the passionate ones.

THE RAINBOW PROJECT

Hi guys! It's actually Valentines day today and here i am, trying to make my blog look FULL! lol. Anyway, for my second post, i want it to be about photography--fashion photography--to be exact, so what's a better way to shout fashion? Rainbow Project!!

Stephen Yap Roxas, owner of THE Rainbow Project, tapped me last time to shoot some of their newest collections, and of course I said yes.. Honestly, it's one of my favorite stores here in Davao. Blue loafer shoes, my all-time fave cross necklace, fedora hat, and printed tees are just some of my purchased goodies there. See, I'm a fan!

You know what i love the most regarding this collaboration? P U L L O U T S!! Yes, that was the very first time that I've done pullouts, and the experience was best shared with Marbs Alvarez, our stylist and friend who seems to be so easy with everything, I'm not even sure if he's familiar with the word "nervous". Anyhow, days of exchanging thoughts were over and finally came the time to shoot! It was such a fun day, and I'm just glad that Stephen loved the outputs, and i hope you will love them too!

HELLO BLOGOSPHERE, I'M BACK!

Yes, I've been blogging here before in blogspot, so "i'm back!" i say.  It's just that this time, its not about poems, and narrations, and thoughts, and all those blah blahs... THIS TIME, its gonna be a life and style, fashion and portrait blog because a lot of my friends says i have to blog again, and I've been shooting some fashion shoots lately, so why not try once more? Hmmmm, so what's for the first blog post eh? well, i certainly don't know what's best for a first post, so i'll just have to leave you guys with this annoying #ootd pictures of mine.

I'm into basic type of clothing right now because I find it relaxing and comfortable (minus the heels). So anyone who agrees that less is more, kindly put your hands up!

thankyou for dropping by and for reading my first entry! xoxo !
